How to Make Sweet Aval Recipe

Ingredients:
(1 Cup = 200 ml)

2 Cup Aval (Poha)
1 Cup Palm Jaagerry (Karuppati)
1 tblsp roasted channa
1 tblsp Moong dal
1 tblsp sesame seeds
15 Coconut bits
2 tblsp Ghee
½ Cup Water
1 Piece dry ginger crushed
3 cardamom crushed

Method:
  1. Wash Aval 2 to 3 times and drain the water completely and keep aside
  2. In a pan heat  ½ cup of water add jaggery to it. when it dissolves add Cardamom and dry ginger powder and boil it 2 to 3 minutes
  3. Filter the jaggery syrub for remove the impurity and keep aside
  4. In a pan add 2 tblsp ghee and roasted channa fry it till turns golden brown and keep aside
  5. Add Moong dal fry it till turns golden brown and keep aside
  6. Add sesame seeds fry it till starts color change
  7. Add Coconut bits fry it till turns golden brown
  8. Pour the all fried ingredients over the aval
  9. Finally pour the palm jaggery syrub over the aval and mix well
  10. Let it sit for 7 to 8 hours. Aval absorbs the palm jaggery syrub and get soft & sweet
  11. Serve the sweet aval and enjoy
