1 Onion, Finely Chopped

Medium size onion, Finely Chopped

Tblsp Chilly Powder

Tblsp Coriander Powder

tsp Turmeric
1 Pinch hing (Perungayam)
1 Pinch hing (Perungayam)

Tblsp Coconut oil
Salt

For
Grinding:
½
Cup graded coconut
1
tsp Cumin seeds

Garlic
For Tempering:
1
Sprig Curry leaves
1
tblsp coconut oil
1
tsp Mustard seeds
Preparation:
Transfer
graded coconut, cumin seeds, garlic to the blender. Grind it as smooth paste
Method:
1. Heat a pan, add 2 tblsp
coconut oil, add onion sauté it till turns transparent
2. Add tomato sauté them
till the raw smell disappear
3. Add chilly powder,
coriander powder, Hing and needed salt and mix well
4. Add coconut paste and
water mix well
5. Let it cook till the
masala raw smell disappear
6. Meanwhile heat a pan,
add 1 tblsp coconut oil and mustard seeds
7. Once the mustard seeds
start crackle add curry leaves
8. Pour the tempering over
the thakkali pachadi and mix well
9. Serve the Pachadi with
rice with sambar or curd rice
