How to Make Vendakkai |
Ladies finger Poriyal
Vendakkai poriyal is
the great sidedish for south Indian lunch. It is preparing with main
ingredients Vendakkai and onion.

Ingredients:
2 Cup Vendakkai, Chopped
2 onion, Finely Chopped
1 Green chilies silted
½ Cup Coconut Grated
Salt to taste
To Tempering:
1 Tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig Curry leaves
3 Tblsp Cooking Oil
To Grinding
3 Garlic
½ tsp Cumin seeds(Jeeragam)
Preparation:
Add Garlic and Cumin seeds to Mixi jar.
grind it as paste and keep aside
Method:
1. Heat a pan. Add 2 tblsp oil
2. Add Mustard seeds
3. When mustard seeds crackle, add Curry leaves
4. Add green chilies and Onion. Sauté it till onion gets
transparent
5. Add Vendakkai and Mix well
6. Close the lid and let it cook on low heat until the Vendakkai
cooks well
7. Add grinding Cumin and garlic paste and let it cook for a minutes
8. Add grated Coconut and salt. let it cook for a minutes
9. Serve Vendakkai poriyal with rice

Heat a
pan. Add 3 tblsp oil and Mustard seeds
When
mustard seeds crackle, add Curry leaves,green
chilies and Onion. Sauté it till onion gets transparent
Add Vendakkai and Mix well
Close the
lid and let it cook on low flame until the vendakkai cooks well
My notes:
Vendakkai should be
cooked on low heat otherwise it will burnt
Don’t stirring
frequently Vendakkai otherwise it will be sticky, once add the Vendakkai close the lid and let it cook on
low heat.
