Rava Kichadi Recipe | Sooji Khichdi Recipe in hotel style

Ingredients:
(1 Cup = 200ml)

1 ½ Cup Rava
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Tomato, Finely Chopped
1 Carrot, Finely Chopped
5 Beans, Finely Chopped
2 Green Chilies
1 tblsp Channa dal
1 tblsp Urad dal
1 tblsp Peanuts
4 tblsp Ghee
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig curry leaves
Salt as needed

Method:

1.       Heat a Pan, add 1 tblsp ghee
2.      Add rava, roast it for a minutes
3.     In the same Pan add remaining ghee and add Mustard seeds
4.      When Mustard seeds crackle, add Urad dal, Channa dal, Peanuts. Fry till dals gets golden brown.
5.      Add Onion, Green chilies and Curry leaves. Fry till onion gets transparent
6.      Add tomato sauté it till gets mushy
7.      Add chopped vegetables ,salt (for vegetables) and 1 cup water. Let them cook on medium flame
8.     When vegetables cooks well add 4 ½ cup water and salt
9.      Once the water start to boil add roasted rava little by little and mix well on low heat.Don't get lumps
10.  Let them cook for a minutes
11.   Serve the Rava Kichadi with Coconut chutney and sambar

When the water start to boil add rava little by little on low heat and mix well. don't get lumps
Let it cook for a minutes
Rava kichadi is ready
Serve the Rava Kichadi with Coconut chutney and sambar

My notes:
  1. Add 1:3 proportion of rava and water ratio and also you can add 1:3 ½  rava and water ratio, its based on rava texture 
  2. For vegetable cooking you can add extra water
