Ingredients:
2 Raw banana(Valakkai)
1
Onion, Finely chopped

Green chilies, silted

Cup Grated coconut
For
tempering:
1
tsp mustard seeds
1
tblsp oil
1 sprig curry leaves
For
Grinding:
1
tsp Cumin seeds

Garlic, Peeled
Preparation:
Transfer
Cumin seeds and Garlic to blender, grind it and keep aside.
Method:
1. Cut the plantain 2 edges
and Cut the half. In a pressure cooker add 1 cup water , Raw banana and salt.
Cover the lid for 1 whistle. Once the pressure cooker settle down open the
pressure cooker drain the water and let it cool for a minutes
2. Further Peel the steamed Raw banana skin and cut as small
pieces
3. Heat a pan, add 1 tblsp
oil and Mustard seeds
4. When Mustard seeds
crackle add curry leaves
5. Add Onion and chilies
sauté them till the onion turns transparent
6. Add valakkai(plantain)and
Mix well
7. Add Cumin and garlic
paste.Mix well
8. Finally add Grated
coconut and mix well. Let it cook for a minute
9. Serve Valakkai Fry with
rice and any Kara kulambu

Instructions:
