Aval Kesari Recipe | Poha(Flatten rice) Kesari Recipe

Ingredients:
(1 cup = 200 ml)
1  Cup Aval (Poha|Flatten rice)
400 gram Sugar(adjustable as per your sweet preference)
400 ml Water
4 Cardamoms, crushed
5 Cashews
5 Batham
10 Raisins
1 Pinch food color Powder
4 tblsp Ghee

Method:
  1. Heat a pan add 1 tblsp ghee and add aval, roast it for 2 minutes on low flame
  2. Switch off the flame. Let it cool for a minutes
  3. Transfer aval into mixi jar and grind it as powder like rava texture
  4. Meanwhile in the same pan add 1 tblsp ghee and add cashews and batham, roast them till turns brown
  5. Add dry grapes, roast till the grapes size become bigger. Transfer to the plate and keep aside
  6. In the same pan, add 2 cup water, food color and crushed cardamom
  7. When water start boil add grinded aval little by little and mix well on low heat
  8. Add sugar little by little and mix well on low flame
  9. Add 2 tblsp ghee and mix well on low flame
  10. Finally add roasted cashews , raisins and batham. Mix well on low heat
  11. Now the Aval kesari is ready. Serve and enjoy

Now the Aval kesari is ready. Serve and enjoy

My notes:
  1. Add 1:2 proportion of aval and water ratio or else you can add 1:1 ½  aval and water ratio, its based on aval texture 
  2. The entire aval kesari preparation should be done on low flame otherwise the ingredients will be burnt
