Broken Red Rice Upma Recipe | Broken sivappu arisi Upma Recipe | Gluten free healthy recipe

Broken red rice upma is gluten free and healthiest breakfast. It is preparing with Broken red rice and vegetables.

Ingredients:
(1 Cup = 200ml)

1 Cup broken red rice (broken sivapu arisi )
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Carrot, Finely Chopped
5 Beans, Finely Chopped
1 Green Chilies
1 tblsp Channa dal
1 tblsp Urad dal
1 tblsp Peanuts
2 tblsp Ghee
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig curry leaves
Salt as needed

Method:
1.       Heat a Pan, add 2 tblsp ghee and mustard seeds
2.      When Mustard seeds crackle, add Urad dal, Channa dal, Peanuts. Fry till dals gets golden brown.
3.      Add Onion, Green chilies and Curry leaves. Fry till onion gets transparent
4.      Add chopped vegetables , salt (for vegetables) and ½ cup water. Let them cook on medium flame
5.      When vegetables cooks well add 1 cup water (already added ½ cup water for veg cooking) and required salt
6.      Once the water start to boil add red rice flour little by little,mix well on low heat.Let them cook for a minutes
7.      Serve the Broken red rice upma with Coconut chutney or jaggery

Close the lid and let them cook for a minutes
Vegetables cooked well
Add 1 cup water (already added ½ cup water for veg cooking) and required salt
Water start to boil
Add broken red rice little by little and mix well
Close the lid and lit it cook on low flame for 5 minutes
Serve the  Broken red rice upma with Coconut chutney or jaggery 

My notes:
  1. Add 1:1 ½  proportion of red rice flour and water ratio
  2. For vegetable cooking you can add extra water
