Quick tea time evening snack | Aval Pakoda balls  | Poha Pakoda balls 

If you have aval | poha | flatten rice in your home you can try this aval pakoda balls at home. It is perfect tea time snack. We can prepare aval pakoda very quickly. We can serve Aval pakoda along with tomato sauce


Ingredients:
200 ml aval | poha
50 ml gram flour
1 onion (big size), finely chopped
1 green chili, chopped
1 piece ginger, chopped
1 sprig coriander leaves
1 sprig curry leaves
Salt as needed
Oil for frying

Method:
1.       In bowl add aval(poha), soak it in water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes drain water completely, transfer it to mixi jar and grind it as slightly coarse paste
2.      Transfer grinded aval to the wide bowl and add chopped onion, ginger, green chili, coriander leaves, curry leaves and salt, mix well
3.      Add gram flour and mix well by using hand
4.      Take small portion of dough and make it as small balls and keep aside shown as picture
5.      Heat oil in kadai for deep frying the pakoda balls
6.      Once the oil becomes hot, drop the small pakoda balls in hot oil, fry them till turns golden brown on medium heat
7.      Fry them in batches till you use up all the dough
8.     Serve the aval pakoda balls with tomato sauce

My notes:
Poha pakoda will be fried on medium heat otherwise the inside of pakoda will not be cooked
