Chola Dosa Recipe | Maize Millet Dosa Recipe

Chola dasa recipe is the very tastiest recipe. i like to have very much from childhood. step by step recipe pictorial below


Ingredients:
(1 cup = 200 gram)

2 Cup Cholam (Maize)
1 Cup Raw Rice or idly rice
½  Cup Urad Dal (100 gram)
1 tblsp Fenugreek seeds (Venthayam)
Salt to taste
Water as needed

Preparation:
1.       Wash 1 cup raw rice or idli rice 2 or 3 times and soak it in water, let it sit for 6 hours
2.      Take another pot, Wash ½ cup Urad dal 2 or 3 times and soak it in water, let it sit for 1 hour
3.      Another pot, wash Cholam(maize) 3 to 4 times and soak it in water, let it sit for 6 hours
4.      Wash Fenugreek seeds , soak it in water let it sit for 6 hours
5.      Drain the water from all pots

Making batter:
1.       Transfer soaked Rice, Cholam, Urad dal, fenugreek seeds and water to the Grinder, Grind it as smooth paste like dosa batter
2.      Tranfer batter to the bowl
3.      Now the batter is ready. Allow to rest for 4 to 5 hours.

Making Chola Dosai:
1.       Take cholam batter whatever we want and add required salt and water, then mix well
2.      Heat the Dosa pan,Pour one ladle of the batter and spread it like dosa. Spread it thick or thin as per your choice
3.      Add ½ tsp of oil or ghee across the edges. Cook on medium flame
4.      When it cooks on one side, flip it and cook on other side as well
5.      Serve Chola dosa with coconut chutney or Kara chutney

After 5 hours
Take cholam batter whatever we want and add required salt and water, then mix well
