Broken Wheat Upma Recipe | Samba Godumai Upma Recipe

Ingredients:
(1 Cup = 200 gram)

1 Cup Broken Wheat (Samba Godumai)
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Carrot, Finely Chopped
5 Beans, Finely Chopped
1 Green Chilies
1 tblsp Channa dal 
1 tblsp Urad dal
1 tblsp Peanuts
2 tblsp Ghee
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig curry leaves
Salt as needed

Method:
(1 cup = 200 gram)
1.       Heat a Pan, add 2 tblsp ghee and mustard seeds
2.      When Mustard seeds crackle, add Urad dal, Channa dal, Peanuts. Fry till dals gets golden brown.
3.      Add Onion, Green chilies and Curry leaves. Fry till onion gets transparent
4.      Add chopped vegetables , salt (for vegetables) and ½ cup water. Let them cook on medium flame
5.      When vegetables cooks well add 1 cup water (already added ½ cup water for veg cooking) and required salt
6.      Once the water start to boil add Broken Wheat little by little on low heat, mix well. Let them cook for a minutes
7.      Serve the Broken Wheat upma with Coconut chutney or jaggery

When vegetable cooks well add 1 more cup of water
Once the water start to boil add Broken Wheat little by little on low heat
Mix well
Close the lid and let them cook for a minutes
Samba Godumai upma ready
Serve the Broken Wheat upma with Coconut chutney or jaggery

Add 1:1 ½  proportion of Broken wheat flour and water ratio
