Coconut Onion Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Onion big size, chopped
2 tomoto, medium size, chopped
¼ cup grated coconut
2 Garlic
1 tblsp roasted channa
4 Dry chilies
1 tblsp cooking oil
Salt as needed
Water as needed

For tempering:

½ tblsp cooking oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves

Method:

1.      Heat a pan add 1 tblsp oil. Add dry chilies sauté it till turns color change and keep  aside
2.     Add onion sauté it till turns transparent
3.     Add Garlic sauté for a minute
4.     Add tomato sauté it till gets mushy
5.     Add grated coconut sauté for a minute
6.     Add roasted channa fry for a minute
7.      Let it cool for a minutes
8.     Transfer all the fried ingredients to mixi jar. Grind them as fine paste
9.      Transfer grinded chutney to the bowl
10.  Meanwhile in a pan add ½ tblsp oil and mustard seeds
11.   When mustard seeds crackle add curry leaves
12.  Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well
13.  Serve the coconut onion chutney with idly or dosa

You can add some water while you grinding the chutney
