How to Make Mullangi | Radish Poriyal

Ingredients:

1 Mullangi (Radish), Finely Chopped
1 onion, Finely  Chopped
1 Green chilly, silted
1 Ginger piece, chopped
¼ Cup Coconut Grated
Salt to taste

To Tempering:

1 Tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig Curry leaves
2 Tblsp Cooking  Oil

To Grinding

2 Garlic
½ tsp Cumin seeds(Jeeragam)

Preparation:

Add Garlic and Cumin seeds to Mixi jar. grind it as paste and keep aside

Method:

1.       Heat a pan. Add 2 tblsp oil
2.      Add Mustard seeds
3.      When mustard seeds crackle, add Chopped Ginger and fry for a minutes
4.      Add green chilies , Onion and Curry leaves. Sauté it till onion gets transparent
5.      Add Mullangi and Mix well.
6.      Close the lid and let it cook on low heat until the Mullangi cooks well
7.      Add grinding Cumin and garlic paste
8.     Add grated Coconut and salt. let it cook for 5 minutes
9.      Serve Mullangi poriyal with rice

Step by Step Pictorial Instructions:

Heat a pan. Add 2 tblsp oil and Mustard seeds
When mustard seeds crackle, add Chopped Ginger,green chilies , Onion and Curry leaves. Sauté it till onion gets transparent
Add Mullangi 
Mix well
Close the lid and let it cook on low heat until the Mullangi cooks well
Add grinding Cumin and garlic paste
Add Grated coconut. mix well let it cook for 5 minutes
Serve Mullangi poriyal with rice
