How to make Pototo Fry | Urulai kizhangu poriyal | Quick potato fry


Potato poriyal is the south Indian side dish and delicious too. Its very simple to prepare. it is great combination for any variety rice and curd rice.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

4 Small Size Pototo, Finely chopped
1 Big size Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Tblsp Chilly powder
1 tsp Turmeric
Salt as needed

For Tempering:

2 tblsp oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig Curry leaves

Method:

1.       In a pan, add 2 tblsp oil and add mustard seeds
2.      When Mustard seeds crackle add curry leaves and onion. Sauté it till the onion turns   transparent
3.      Add potato and mix well.
4.      Add Chilly powder, turmeric and salt. Mix well
5.      Cover with lid and let it cook until potato cooks well on low heat
6.      Serve Potato fry with rice

Step by step Pictorial:

You can increase or decrease the chilly powder as per your taste
