Coconut chutney Recipe | Hotel style

Coconut chutney is the most favorite side dish for idly, dosa and any vada variety in the south Indian cuisine. it very easy to prepare below step by step photos available.

Ingredients:

1 Cup Grated Coconut
1 Green chiliy
3 tblsp Fried channa
3 Garlic Peeled
Salt to taste

For Tempering:

1 tblsp oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig Curry  leaves
1 Sambar shallots, chopped

Method:

1.       Transfer all ingredients to mixi jar along with salt. Add water if needed. Grind them as smooth paste
2.      Transfer the Coconut chutney to the bowl
3.      Meanwhile, in a pan add 1 tblsp oil and mustard seeds
4.      When Mustard seeds crackle, add chopped sambar shallots
5.      When shallots turns golden brown add curry leaves
6.      Pour tempering over the Coconut chutney and mix well
7.      Serve the coconut chutney with idly or dosa
