Lemon Rice Recipe


How to Make Lemon rice

Ingredients:

1 tblsp channa dal
1 tblsp urad dal
1 tblsp peanuts
1 sprig curry leaves
1 green chilly
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 pinch hing(perungayam)
2 Cup cooked rice
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tblsp coconut oil
1 lemon
Water 50 ml
Salt as needed

Method:

1.       Heat a pan, add 1 tblsp coconut oil and Mustard seeds
2.      When mustard seeds crackle add channa dal, urad dal, peanuts, sauté them till turns golden brown
3.      Add curry leaves and green chilies, sauté for a minute
4.      Add squeezed lemon juice, water and required salt. Mix well
5.      Add turmeric and hing. Mix well let it boil 5 minutes
6.      Add cooked rice and mix well
7.      Serve the lemon rice with potato fry

when we use the coconut oil, it will give the authentic taste
