Urulai Kizhangu Varuval Recipe | Potato fry Recipe
Urulai Kizhangu varuval is one of the tastiest and delicious
side dish. Its having with curd rice or sambar rice or any variety rice. It is
very easy to prepare. Step wise pictures below
Ingredients:

Potato
1
piece ginger
5
garlic cloves
1
tblsp chilly powder
1
tsp turmeric powder
3
tblsp cooking oil
1
tsp mustard seeds
1
tsp fennel seeds(perunjeeragam)
1
sprig curry leaves
Salt
as needed
Preparation:
1. Peel the Potato skin and
wash them,cut as round thick pieces, keep aside
2. Peel the ginger and
garlic cloves, clean them and transfer them to the mixi jar, grind them as
smooth paste ( 1 tblsp ginger garlic paste)
3. In a bowl add potato
along with chilly powder, turmeric powder, ginger & garlic paste and needed
salt, mix well by using hand. Let it sit for 10 minutes
Method:
1. In a pan add 3 tblsp
cooking oil, mustard seeds and fennel seeds (Perunjeeragam)
2. When mustard seeds
crackle add curry leaves
3. Add masala mixed potato,
close the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame
4. Filp them over the other
side. Let them cook for 5 minutes
5. Repeat the same process
for remaining potato
6. Serve the Potato varuval
with curd rice or sambar rice or any variety rice

Peel

When mustard seeds crackle add curry leaves
Add masala mixed potato and do shallow fry
Close the lid and let them cook for 5 minutes on low heat
Filp them over the other side. Let them cook for
5 minutes
Serve the Potato varuval with curd rice or
sambar rice or any variety rice
