Beans poriyal with moong dal and green peas | Beans Poriyal with Siru paruppu and Pachi pattani

Ingredients:
200 gram Beans
1 onion, Chopped
2 green Chillies, silted
4 tblsp grated Coconut
1 tsp cumin powder
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 cup green peas
2 tblsp moong dal
Salt to taste

To Tempering:
1 Tsp Mustard seeds
1 Sprig Curry leaves
2 Tblsp Oil

Method:
  1. In a pot add water and moong dal. Let it cook till the moong dal cooks well
  2. once the moong dal cooked well, switch off the flame and keep aside
  3. Heat a pan, Add 2 tblsp cooking oil and Mustard seeds, When mustard seeds crackle, add Green chilies, Curry leaves and Onion. Sauté it for a minutes
  4. Add Beans and green peas, then mix well
  5. Add Cumin powder and crushed garlic
  6. Close the lid and let it cook till beans cook well
  7. Add Cooked moong dal, grated coconut and salt then mix well
  8. Close the lid and let it cook for a minutes
  9. Serve Beans poriyal with rice and sambar
